7/6/2023 - A5XY Mount Wellington

After Point View Reserve my next target was Mt Wellington. I have lived in the area for many years (over a decade at the time of writing) and I consider Mt Wellington to be one of my mountains, so it holds a special place in my heart.

The trig at the top offers fantastic 360 degree views of many parts of Auckland, including the CBD.

While up there I had a chat with ZL1HOW Helen and ZL1KIM Kimmy on the Klondyke Repeater.

It was very windy and cold but I didn't care - it was still fun!
